Counting the Days
Welcome to August. Jini has been told by the hospital that there are some 12 days of radiotherapy remaining. Good news indeed and she is counting them down on her specially designed wall chart!
We spoke with her last weekend and she seems in good spirits. Of course she is still taking tablets for the pain and has been told that she needs to improve her intake of iron. So, red meat is now back on the menu for her.
Much to Jini's disspointment her left lung is performing less efficiently and is causing some breathlessness. This, in part, is due to the radiotherapy but this is likely to be a long term problem for her. She has confided that she'll not be entering her name for the 2007 Castelo Branco Marathon.

Geoff maybe, but ceertainly not Rohini. A sleep marathon will be better! how's changi these days?
