Snow falls along with UK pound

Heavy snow fell across northern England causing road chaos and school closures. The UK pound also fell to an historical low against the euro after a 1% cut in interest rates.

It's all 'doom and gloom' here in the UK so I thought that you'd enjoy some pictures of the snow here or click on the 'Photos: Snow in Brinscall' link under the Links title at the top right of the page.

Hi Geoff
Nice pictures. Seeing the Roddlesworth brings back memories - hope you're keeping up the running and not skating around too much in the cold stuff.

Hi Rickey

Good to hear from you, and no, you are no missing much at the moment:-)) Too iced up, temperatures down to minus 5 at night and not much above zero during the day.

Must get started again soon since getting 'cabin fever' and the belt around my waist is getting ever tighter!

Will write soon.

Regards
Geoff
