Bacon Butties to the Rescue
I should explain this phrase for the benefit of my Portuguese reader(s). The word 'Butty' is slang for sandwich. Honest. Here you can see me eating a bacon sandwich offered by my next door neighbour. Those 'eagle eyed' amongst you will notice a small bottle of 'Sagres', a Portuguese beer. I wasn't going to let Portugal dissapear too quickly.

OK,it's Sunday evening here in the
UK and I'm just cooking my eveing meal and the phone rings. It's my next door neighbour offering, no less, than a bacon sandwich. Who could I resist? I'd already purchased a small bottle of 'Sagres' from our local supermarket. The smallest I could find was one litre - it was huge having been used to a 33cl bottle in Portugal. But I could handle it. Or so I thought.

Alas, the evening couln't pass without a photo of the neighbour's new cat, Joel. Well, here it is (picture left). He didn't want to sit up correctly for this shot. What is it that photographers say - 'don't work with children or animals'
