Back by Popular Demand
OK, you've caught me drinking again (picture left) and many of you will be asking how I find the time to write this blog. At least one of you have commented positively on this BrancoBlogger site:-)). Thanks, whoever you are.

Thanks also for your continued support for my
sister-in-law Jini, who is still to undergo further surgery next Monday, April 17th. Of course, I'm happy to continue my 'reports' from my home (picture right) here in the village of Brinscall,UK. Maybe I can show a little of 'life' here in the UK, whilst keeping you informed of events in Portugal? A difficult task, but you know I'll give it my best shot.

Monday evening sees me out with my neighbour's parents from Australia. Bray and Anne came over to see Rick and Susan just a week or so before I left for Portugal. They return to Brisbane Wednesday morning so it was good to spend an evening at the local public house. The Top Lock at Wheelton was chosen for its position on the Leeds-Liverpool canal. It has a beer festival once a year and the selection of bitter beers and lagers is always impressive. Photo of Rick and Bray, (picture right).

The first pint was consumed in record time - after all, Bray hadn't much time
remaining in the UK. Of course, Rick and I were happy to keep up with him. My congratulations go to Rick for not feeling that he had to try all the beers this evening but here are some of the beers he did get through. (picture right).
