I Slept with R2-D2

OK, so you don't expect headlines like this to be true. Well, this one is! On a recent stay in the Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire, I found myself in the next bed to Kenny Baker who played R2-D2 in all of the Star Wars movies. Eat your heart out all you Star Wars fans:-)). Ken now lives in Preston having travelled and worked extensively outside the UK. He's a pleasant guy and was good company during my stay in hospital.

BrancoBlogger had unfortunately developed cellulitis in the left elbow and arm that required treatment with intavenous antibiotics over a 3 day period. I ended up in the Accident & Emergency ward - never in dull moment in that ward with a shooting, an assault, a death and a suicide attempt, to name but a few.
